Plain English. Read before you bid.

1. Estimate, not an appraisal

Everything in an auction book is an estimate, not an appraisal. Values, ratings and max bids are our opinion based on the listing, its photos and market data.

2. Max bids are a ceiling, not a target

A max bid is the most we think a lot is worth bidding at your margin. It is not a recommendation to bid that amount, and you may do better by bidding less.

3. No inspection: verify at preview

We have not inspected the items. Photos and listings can be incomplete or wrong. Verify condition, authenticity, weight and grade at preview before you bid.

4. Independence

Auction Advantage, a product of AI Business Intelligence, is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any auction house, auctioneer, bank or auction platform.

5. No guarantee of results

We don't guarantee any outcome, including that you will win a lot, that an item is what it appears to be, or that you will resell it at any price.

6. You are responsible for your bids

Every bidding decision is yours. You are responsible for your bids, the auction's terms, the buyer's premium, taxes and payment.

7. Sources and comparable sales

Values come from comparable sales, melt calculations and other market sources. Sources can be incomplete or out of date. We show confidence ratings and check counts so you can judge each value.

8. Photos are not republished

We use auction photos only to prepare your book. We do not republish auction photos on this site.
